Massaging with my feet seems natural to me. It’s deep, broad pressure. Most of my clients comment the first time they receive Ashiatsu, that they would not know it was not my hands.
I start seated, above the head. Working with mostly my heals, I can can go light, or deep around the shoulder blades, the long muscles on either side of the spine (paraspinals) shoulders, and back of the upper arms.
From the stool I can stand with one foot, and massage with the other. Still able to go as light or deep as needed.
If the client is still wanting more pressure, I stand on the client. It’s deep,broad pressure. Great for larger bodies, and clients who never seem to get a deep enough massage.
Just an hour is all I really need to do a great massage.
For a quick fix, I can walk on fully clothed body, with my socks on, much like a chair massage.
